Back in April I wrote a post asking “Why is it so difficult to be an artist?” The post brought in some great responses, as you can read for yourself. I also crossed-posted it on rec.arts.fine, which, as I mentioned awhile back, is always a great way to get feedback. One comment I got to the “Why is it so difficult to be an artist?” question, by CB, was super obnoxious, but it had a huge and I think positive influence on me. I wrote a short post about it called “A challenge to artists.” The influence of CB’s comment has since worn off for me, which is why I wanted to go back and read it again.
